We have come a long way since the special effect days of the original Star Wars. Though it was great for its time, today’s CGI will blow it out of the water. With advance CGI, The Force Awakens is able to bring to life our wildest imagination and make it look real and legitimate. This cannot be claimed by another other episode before it. Personally, I always felt the predecessors were trying to hard and reaching too far which made the CGI and special effects more cheesy than cool.
